Starting off with the negatives, they forgot my lime iced tea. The back area sorta sucks because they open the back door from time to time for delivery guys and it gets frickin cold. I also didn't like the feeling of the chopsticks and plates - they felt a bit sticky, almost like too much soap was used but wasn't fully washed off? It didn't feel dirty, just that sticky feeling you get when there's residue on it. Anyway, the food was pretty good, but I do agree with another reviewer that the food is salty. We ordered the soup dumplings. pork belly dish, sliced beef, shrimp fried rice, veggies with garlic, and the rice wine dessert. The absolute best thing there was the rice wine dessert. Holy cow, I would go back just for that. I mean I've had glutinous rice balls before but the rice wine made it so good and I've never had it that way before. Literally everyone said it was really good. Glad we ordered it and had our non Asian friends really enjoy this. The snow pea shoots were also done very nicely, perfectly seasoned with garlic and salt. Fried rice was good but geez so small and pricey at $17.00 for such a small size. And wow that shredded beef was $25.00! Also pricey. Plus soup dumplings only came with four pieces. The soy milk I had was good. One other nit - the water could have been filled more often. Overall a good experience, but pricey, and they def have a few areas to enhance. The rice wine rice balls alone give this a four star experience - it's that good but I didn't get a photo of it.

TL;DR: maybe this is just me having grown up on my Mom's Taiwanese/Chinese cooking but this is just normal/average overseas The staff is super attentive and friendly The food, while really good, is honestly "just" above average if you were to go to Taiwan or China #IYKYK I would suggest trying dishes you can't get in "typical" Chinese joints like the "Husband and Wife special" - definitely not something that most spots have so get it to try it Again, good food but just from my personal upbringing, this is just overpriced home cooking. If you've never had it before though, definitely come and order everything that you think might be good. I'm sure it'll expand your taste buds Cheers, Birds of a Feather!

Chinese restaurant in Williamsburg with a focus on Sichuanese food. Interior feels nice and open although the large dining table in the center may be uncomfortable for those who really don't like sitting close to parties they don't know. Service was pretty good and attentive, no complaints there. Food here isn't particularly spicy, it's somewhat noticeable but pretty mild throughout every dish. Okra with sichuan pepper sauce was pretty good, the okra had a nice snap to it and the pepper sauce was really flavorful and just the right level of numbing for me. Even the people in our party who weren't fans of okra normally thought the dish was surprisingly good. Poached wontons in chili oil were well made with thin slipper skins and tender meat although the lack of heat in the chili oil was a bit disappointing. Smoked duck buns have a really strong smoky/cured taste borderline hammy but there just wasn't anywhere close to enough buns for the amount of duck meat. The fried rice with mustard green shoots was surprisingly good, really aromatic while still keeping the texture of a good fried rice. Twice cooked pork, one of my favorite sichuan dishes was a major disappointment. The pork was hiding underneath a mountain of bland greens and the pork was just kind of dry and chewy. On the other hand they have a dish named curiously tasty chicken that was honestly true to the name, curiously tasty. Chicken was tender, juicy and savory, the cumin and basil gave a light perfume to the whole dish, and even the winter melon chunks provided a nice little change of pace to the bite. The braised whole fish in chili sauce was well cooked, silky soft and well flavored with seasoning but again lacking in spice. Fish was on the fishy side, not very strongly so, but it was there although not to the point that it was much of an issue for me but it was a problem for some other at the table. Birds of a Feather was a bit disappointing insofar as I thought it would be on the same tier of great Sichuan as Mountain House but food here was a clear step down. Still pretty solid (aside from the horrid pork) and there were enough tasty bites that I do think its still worth going to if you want some decent Sichuanese food with a nice interior.

I really enjoyed my dinner here. Very good flavors and lots to choose from. I would note this is not for those with a weak spice tolerance. I like to consider my spice tolerance is solid and this food was numbing very fast. The service was nice. We had a reservation at 6:30 and they had the table ready for us after we arrived a few minutes late. The server was kind and explained to us the different flavors and all the specials. We had a few leftovers and they packed it up for us and even separated items into multiple containers so it's ready for us to split when taking home. It's a very dimly lit restaurant with one large table in the center which seems to be popping with a few large parties have a good time. As for the food, very unique and solid. The dan dan noodles had a milk numbing spice to it and it wasn't bad to blind out the flavor. I very much enjoyed. The chicken dumplings were solid. Can never go wrong with dumplings but were nothing too out of the ordinary in my opinion. I loved the curiosily tasting chicken. Quite a different flavor and something I could just keep munching on. It was mildly spicy but nothing I could not handle. I would come back for more although it was slightly expensive. The cumin on that chicken was fantastic. I look forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. One appetizer and one entree was enough to ensure I was fully stuffed, with not much room to spare in my stomach so portions were large. Would recommend eating family style. On our way out they gave us a piece of wrigleys gum which was a nice surprise. Look forward to coming back to try new things on the menu.

Great ambience and cool vibes, food is great quick service. The pork and okra mini rolls were quite unique and good. I would definitely try some of the other items! Did not feel like drinks were amazing, but still very good.

One of my favorite Sichuan spots with a menu that I can order anything from and know that they will *not* miss. Everything I've gotten here has been incredible and packed wjth flavor. It's a spot that has you thinking about it as soon as you leave. My favorites are the wontons in chili sauce, Shanghai shumai, Dan Dan noodles, pan fried pork buns, double cooked pork... Try to get a reservation if you can. Don't miss out on this spot!!

Birds of a Feather is a super cute spot located in Brooklyn. I came on a Friday night in the spot was super packed with many people also lining up to be seated at the restaurant. There was a giant communal table in the middle with booths on the side. We ordered drinks to start. The nightingale was good and sweet but definitely hitting by the end of the night. We also ordered a lot of food - husband and wife special, shrimp dumplings, pork potstickers, pork and okra spring rolls, kung pao chicken, cucumbers, and shrimp fried rice. My favorites were the husband and wife special and the pork and okra rolls. Overall this spot was a lot of fun and really yummy!

Love this place so much!! It's always packed so you should definitely make a reservation even in the weekdays. It was on Sunday but only 5pm opened. Of course because it is the best authentic Chinese place in Bedford! Service is great. Their stuffs are attentive to all the customers! It's a big restaurant and big menu. You wanna try everything but remember! The meals are quite large portions! Especially entrees. However I recommend 3 or 4 dishes for two with a rice bowl or noodles. Pork dumplings in a chill oil was delicious! Every meals we enjoyed.I love how they make it fresh and serve as fast as they can! Wish I could have some more companies then will be able to try out more dishes next time!

Came for the weekend and heard this place has some of the best Dan Dan noodles. Of course I had to check it out! Service was great, the place is very minimal and clean looking, which I love - nice in there. For food of course we got the Dan Dan noodles that were delicious! So flavorful, nice spice, noodles had good texture. We loved the cucumbers too, it was spicy but also cooled down your mouth since they are cold. I love the crunch too. Very nice! The dumplings were just okay. The inside was delicious but the dough itself was a little tough, too doughy. I didn't like. Check them out and see what you like there!
